Software engineer with 9+ years of experience building web platforms, custom applications, and digital solutions. Currently Lead Software Engineer at Interpublic Group (IPG), working across architecture, development, infrastructure, security, and production support.
My Story
I started my career at IPG Mediabrands in 2017 as an Associate Web Developer, fresh out of university. Within months I was building real enterprise platforms and client solutions. Over the next eight years I progressed through Senior Engineer, Staff Engineer, and now Lead Software Engineer — all within the IPG group of companies.
Today at IPG I lead engineering across a large portfolio of enterprise websites and applications — owning architecture, development, DevOps, security, performance, and production reliability end-to-end. I build with Laravel, Vue.js, Python, PHP, JavaScript, and React, and I handle the infrastructure most teams outsource: AWS, Docker, CI/CD, SSO/SAML, and Nginx.
Alongside my full-time role I have always taken on freelance and client work — building mobile apps in React Native and Flutter, integrating AI services (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini), wiring up payments (Stripe, Adyen), and shipping SaaS, fintech, and e-commerce platforms. Freelancing keeps my range sharp and my problem-solving honest.
I enjoy the complex, non-trivial work — the migrations, the performance problems, the integrations that are not supposed to be possible. That is the work I find most interesting.

Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering at Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS). Started freelancing and building real projects alongside my studies.
Joined IPG Mediabrands
Started as Associate Web Developer at IPG Mediabrands, KL. Quickly progressed to Analyst — building enterprise web platforms and client solutions.
Cloud & Full-Stack Engineer — beBit (Remote, Japan)
Part-time role at Japanese SaaS company beBit. Led on-prem to AWS migration, built Terraform infrastructure, managed Kubernetes (EKS), and later rewrote Usergram frontend from Vue 2 → Vue 3. Ran until 2022 alongside full-time work.
Senior Software Engineer — KINESSO
Moved into a senior engineering role at KINESSO (IPG). Delivered enterprise WordPress, Laravel, Vue.js applications and took ownership of deployments and infrastructure.
Staff Software Engineer
Promoted to Staff Engineer — owning complex engineering initiatives from architecture through production, leading migrations, SSO integrations, and platform reliability.
Lead Software Engineer — IPG
Promoted to Lead Software Engineer at Interpublic Group (IPG). Now leading architecture, delivery, DevOps, security, and engineering standards across a large portfolio of enterprise platforms.
